A look back at 2011

As 2012 approaches, it seems a good time to look back at the last 365 days!

FILMS
This year, I released two major films, and two shorts.
SKIRMISH ON CORUSCANT: Link to Skirmish on Coruscant
Added on the 22nd April, this video has onlt got 341 views at the time of writing, but I always enjoy watching it!

CONFLICT ON ENDOR: Watch it above!
This is my best-performing video on youtube! It has an astonishing (in my view) 3,394 views, 44 comments, 13 likes, 8 favourites and only 2 dislikes after only 5 months on YouTube! I really enjoyed making this so it is good to see it is still getting quite high amounts of views every day!

502nd LEGION PART I: MIND MEDDLERS: Link to Part I
I had started work on this in 2009, as can be seen in my recent upload showing the original footage (Link to video). This was uploaded on 15th April, and has received 2,644 views, 27 comments, 9 favourites and an amazing 20 likes (with only 1 dislike!). I am very happy with this. The view count is constantly rising! Although it is 10 minutes long, there are a lot of bits I am rather disappointed with.

502nd LEGION PART II: DEFENCE OF THEYLIX: See it above!
This is easily my favourite work to date! 14 minutes or animation, most of which I am very pleased with, and over 600 effects, this took a long time and I think the end result is really good. However, after a huge opening week view as it were, the views have virtually stopped since then, and the video has been stuck in the 1,100s for ages. Still, it has had 34 comments, 9 favourites, 20 likes and only 4 dislikes! Overall, I am very pleased.

CHANNEL PERFORMANCE
If I think back to 1st January 2011, I think I had something like a mindblowing 9 or 10 subscribers. If I go back to my first post on this blog, I had 24 subscribers in May. Since about mid-May, this has jumped to an amazing 189! I hit 50 on 1st June, 75 on 20th June, and 100 on 11th July!

Should I get it? It does have good minifigures!

THE LEGO
I have seen a lot of good LEGO sets this year, but to be quite honest I have not considered buying that many. I have bought the Battle of Naboo and Clone and Mandalorian Battle Packs, and The Fire Brigade and Grand Emporium modular buildings but I think that's about it! I am not thinking of buying any new sets, except perhaps future modular exclusives. I am thinking about buying the Imperial Shuttle, Winter Post Office and Pet Shop and perhaps the Republic Frigate from this year's summer line but that's it.

2012
What about next year then? Well, the only thing I know is happening for certain is the release of LEGO Star Wars: 502nd Legion Part III: Struggle for Survival. Scroll to the next post down to see an exclusive script extract! I will start filming next year. Other developements will probably include me buying a Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 and a Tripod to massively improve the steadiness and quality of my animations. Hopefully you will be seeing part III in HD. I might also work on remaking Part one, by inproving the frame rate in places and replacing the Clone Voices with the voice of FreakDaMighet, who voiced them in Part II.
